“Family History Escape App”

Talk Abstract:
Family History Escape is a virtual escape room, but rather than working to escape from a room, you are working to help deceased individuals escape from Spirit Prison by discovering their Family History. Each episode tells the story of an actual deceased individual and systematically leads you on a journey to find historical records to learn more about their life. Each episode is designed as a fun way to help you learn about different aspects of Family History, i.e. different types of Family History records. The app can be used if you are just learning Family History or are more experienced with Family History.
Speaker Bio:
Scott Hill is a retired Chemical Engineer. He enjoys doing family history and especially loves the programming side of it. His “This is Family” app is on the Solutions Gallery on FamilySearch. This app is great for helping young children learn about their ancestors by creating an avatar for each of them. You can also find his “Temples In Color” app on the IOS App store. He has 6 children and 31 grandkids.
