Ken & Sheron Drake
8/14/21

Categories: RT, RR

Talk Abstract:
This class is about a deeper dive into using DNA in family history research. We’ll review all the various DNA testing companies and how to leverage each. We’ll also look at some of the latest tools like DNA Painter, What-Are-The-Odds, and DNA clustering to break through your brick walls and deepen your understanding of your genetic roots.

Speaker Bio:
Ken & Sheron have lived in Lindon, UT for 17 years, raising 4 children. Ken works in high tech and Sheron has been actively involved in the local charter schools working in roles from classroom assistant to CAO of the school board. Ken Drake was one of the first adoptees to connect with previously unknown biological family through an AncestryDNA test. Ken will share insights from this life changing event and subsequent discoveries. Ken’s wife Sheron (not an adoptee) will share how she has connected with 17+ previously unknown family members (most of them adoptees) in her own family tree that was previously thought to be “complete”.
