Direct-to-Consumer DNA testing has upended the adult adoptee community and how you can help. Ken was one of the first adoptees to connect with previously unknown biological family through Ancestry DNA test. Ken will share insights from this life changing event and subsequent discoveries. Sheron will share how she has connected with 17+ unknown family members (most of them adoptees) in her own family tree that was previously thought to be “complete”.
Speaker Bio:
Ken & Sheron have lived in Lindon, UT for 17 years, raising 4 children. Ken works in high tech and Sheron has been actively involved in the local charter schools working in roles from classroom assistant to CAO of the school board. Ken Drake was one of the first adoptees to connect with previously unknown biological family through an AncestryDNA test. Ken will share insights from this life changing event and subsequent discoveries. Ken’s wife Sheron (not an adoptee) will share how she has connected with 17+ previously unknown family members (most of them adoptees) in her own family tree that was previously thought to be “complete”.
