Dear Elisabeth [Elizabeth Rebecca Ashby Snow, b. 1831],   I perceive from your telegram of this date that Bro A.W. Ivins [Brother Anthony Woodward Ivins, b. 1852] is at Trumble [Mount Trumble, Utah] and will not be home till Wednesday the 30th [30 Sep 1885] and consequently cant [can't] possibly start with Libbie [Elizabeth Ashby Snow Ivins, b. 1854] and yourself before Thursday the 1st Oct [1 Oct 1885], but if he designs to attend conference at Logan [General General Conference at Logan, Utah] which is to commence Tuesday the 6th [6 Oct 1885] he should start Thursday [1 Oct 1885] or Friday [2 Oct 1885] at farthest, so as to come up from Milford [Milford, Utah] to Salt Lake [Salt Lake City, Utah] on Sunday [4 Oct 1885] or Monday 5th [5 Oct 1885] but it should be Sunday in order to be able to go from here to Logan [Logan, Utah] on Monday [5 Oct 1885].   I understand of course that if Libbie [Elizabeth Ashby Snow Ivins, b. 1854] comes up to be doctord [doctored], she needs your company and assistance and it struck me favorable [favorably] as soon as Josephine’s [Josephine Snow, b. 1859] telegram reached me last night [Friday 25 Sep 1885], and it would afford me very much pleasure to see you all before my return to Arrizona [Arizona] and Sonora [Sonora, Mexico].   We had thought of starting on Thursday night the 1st Oct [1 Oct 1885], but have since decided to postpone starting till Saturday [3 Oct 1885] or Sunday [4 Oct 1885] and if I can get word that you start Thursday [1 Oct 1885] and what day Tony [Anthony Woodward Ivins, b. 1852] thinks he can reach Milford [Milford, Utah] It may give me a good excuse for holding on a day or two longer & persuading the rest to wait for me.   This should reach you Tuesday night [29 Sep 1885] and give you Wednesday [30 Sep 1885] to get Libbie [Elizabeth Ashby Snow Ivins, b. 1854] and yourself ready and when Tony [Anthony Woodward Ivins, b. 1852] gtet home try and hurry him off Thursday [1 Oct 1885] and Telegraph me that day when you can reach Milford [Milford, Utah] and it is quite possible I may wait for you if I don’t meet you on the way.   The train leaves Milford [Milford, Utah] early in the morning and George A [George Albert Snow, b. 1863], can doubtless arrange with the conductor to allow you to go on board the car and make your beds at 9 oclock [9:00 am] in the monring so as not to hurry in the morning or you can stop at Charley Clintons and E. Tanners.   There is a cook stove in the caboose used by the Train men which will enable you to make a cup of coffee or tea on the train.   Telegraph me direct to B.Y. [Brigham Young Jr., b. 1836] office.   Lucy [Lucy Simmons Snow, b. 1855] goes down Monday.   I go tonight to visit Jute [?] and husband & Mollie [Mary ?] who is there.   Effectionately [affectionately] yours as ever E. Snow [Erastus Snow, b. 1818]
