Dear Sister :--

At a meeting of the Board of Directors of Consolidated Implement Co., held 22d inst. [Tuesday 22 Jan 1889], the following resolutions were adopted, and ordered placed upon the minutes, and a copy sent to the family of the deceased therein named.

Resolved that,

Whereas, Alwise [All Wise] Providence has seen fit to remove, by death, from oue [our] midst, Erastus Snow, our esteemed President of the Consolidated Implement Co., and that, while we, the Board of Directors and Stock Holders of said Institution, feel sensibly the great loss that we have sustained in the death of so able a President, and so wise a councellor [counselor]; in the bereavement, we bow, in humble submission to the Divine Will; and be it further resolved that we sincerely sympathize and condole with the bereaved family of our beloved President, friend, and earnest co-laborer, in whom we recognized ability rarely equalled [equaled], and unsurpassed integrity of purpose.”
