WELCOME AND INTRODUCTION TO CLASS
- Instructors are Donald R. and Diane M. Snow ( snowd@math.byu.edu , dms34@juno.com ) of Provo, Utah; St. George, Utah; and Nauvoo, Illinois.

- This class will be a discussion of the latest things the programmers have added to new FamilySearch.

- Gary Turner's New Family History page -- http://newfamilyhistory.googlepages.com/home -- has a slide show "New FamilySearch" that shows the new concept that records are combined into "file folders" and not merged, so nothing is every lost, and that nFS incorporates several databases

ASSIGNMENT
- If you are not registered for new FamilySearch, talk to your Ward Clerk and get a copy of your Summary of Ordinances sheet. See if it needs any corrections. Use the information (LDS Membership Number and Confirmation Date) to register for nFS.
- Download the new FamilySearch pdf Manual from the nFS Help Center and look through it briefly.
- Go to the Help Center on nFS and read the Knowledge Base article on What's New.
