Ashby Snow [Ashby Snow, b. 1867]             St. George [St. George, Utah]

Dear Sir,

Tell Ma [Elizabeth Rebecca Ashby Snow, b. 1831] I was glad to receive her letter here and that I had previously written to Arthur [Arthur Eugene Snow, b. 1870] about going up to School [Brigham Young Academy, Provo, Utah] by stage on Friday the 11th [Friday 11 Nov 1887] but when I met Frank [Franklin Richards Snow, b. 1854] and Geo. Albert [George Albert Snow, b. 1863] at Nephi [Nephi, Utah] on Thursday [Thursday 3 Nov 1887] I requested him to see Uncle Zera [Zerubbabel Snow, b. 1806] and if [he ?] and Mary [Mary Augusta Hawkins, b. 1821] wish to go to St. George [St. George, Utah] when he returns that he should write or telegraph to have Arthur [Arthur Eugene Snow, b. 1870] bring up my Buggy and Horses and leave at Minervas [Minerva White Snow, b. 1822] or else at Milford [Milford, Utah] for them.  If however he receives no message from Salt Lake [Salt Lake City] about bringing up the Buggy I shall be glad to have your Mother [Elizabeth Rebecca Ashby Snow, b. 1831] come with it and meet me at Pipe [Pipe Springs, Utah] on Sunday or Monday 13th or 14 th [Sunday 13 Nov 1887 or Monday 14 Nov 1887] prepared to spend a few days and return by way of Rockville [Rockville, Utah].  Perhaps A.W. Ivins [Anthony Woodward Ivins, b. 1852] might be induced to come with her in which case I might wish to make an arrangement with him to take my stock from Pipe [Pipe Springs, Utah] to Trumbo [Mount Trumbo, Utah ?] and also to buy some calves for me on the River [Virgin River ?].  I presume ere this Frank [Franklin Richards Snow, b. 1854] will have sent to St. George Z.C.M.I. [St. George Zion's Cooperative Mercantile Institution] $200 for me. which you and Tony [Anthony Woodward Ivins, b. 1852] can use for me either in buying calves or orders on St. George T.O. [Tithing Office] on best terms you can, possibly if Tony [Anthony Woodward Ivins, b. 1852] can’t come with Ma [Elizabeth Rebecca Ashby Snow, b. 1831] you might if Josephine [Josephine Snow Tanner, b. 1859] or anyone else can take your place in Store.  If not convenient for either D. [Edwin Dilworth Woolley, b. 1845 ?] says he will send a hand to meet her at foot of Hurricane hill [Hurricane, Utah] from Pipe [Pipe Springs, Utah] and let Zer [Zerubbabel Snow, b. 1806] return to St. George [St. George, Utah] only so she telegraphs D. [Edwin Dilworth Woolley, b. 1845] at Kanab [Kanab, Utah] on Saturday [Saturday 12 Nov 1887],  hand this to Mother [Elizabeth Rebecca Ashby Snow, b. 1831] & keep contents to yourselves

Yours in love

E. Fairbanks [Erastus Snow, b. 1818]
