Dear Elisabeth [Elizabeth Rebecca Ashby Snow, b. 1831] and family - you see I am again in Utah. Left Juarez [Colonia Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico - http://www.mormoncoloniesinmexico.com/] 9th [Tuesday 9 Aug 1887] & Deming [Deming, Luna, New Mexico - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deming,_New_Mexico] 16th [Tuesday 16 Aug 1887] Came [with ?] Emigrants will come south [to St. George, Utah] if God will after a month or so spent with my brethren [Quorum of 12 Apostles] in the North [Salt Lake City, Utah] (and possible a visit to Susie [Susan Snow Young, b. 1856 ?] meantime) You said in your last that you would not go to Pipe [Pipe Springs, Utah] & Upper Ranch [Kanab, Utah] in August [Aug 1887], so I cannot hope to meet you there unless you change your mind. Have not answered Georgianas [Georgiana Snow Thatcher, b. 1862] letter received in Juarez [Colonia Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico - http://www.mormoncoloniesinmexico.com/]. Please send her this or some word from me. Expect She is having an interesting but trying time about now. I am anxious to learn the result and also of Libbies [Elizabeth Ashby Snow Ivins, b. 1854] successes I pray for her that nothing but good luck may attend her expected accouchment. Hope you will all be able to endure the heated time and get cooled off with grapes and Ice Cream. And that I may not be late to share a little of the grapes at least. Bro Joseph Tanners [Joseph Tanner] release was forwarded to Europe a week ago and we may expect him by the end of October [Oct 1887]. Write me under cover to Heber G. [Heber J. I left Georgias [Georgiana Snow Thatcher, b. 1862] Bed + beding [bedding] & Spring matres [mattress] with sister Hannah Romney and sold most of other things either to Whipple or to Romney to apply in building house in Juarez [Colonia Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico - http://www.mormoncoloniesinmexico.com/] either for self or any of my family or friends who may need to occupy it.
