Dear Elisabeth [Elizabeth Rebecca Ashby Snow], Pardon my delay in answering your very welcome and cheering letter. As the Session advances, my correspondance [correspondence] and numerous labors increase -
My health is decidedly improved since writing you before. As I told you I was determined to through [throw] off some of my labors, so I have done. That is a portion of my duties on the Committee of Auditation [Auditing] for the Trustee accounts - which duties are mostly at present on Jos. F. Smith [Joseph F. Smith]. I tore loose from the Legislature and attended Logan Conference [Logan, Utah] and visited Susan [Susan Snow Young] (leaving Minerva [Minerva White Snow] there) and only preached once and attended no evening meetings but rested and returned somewhat recuperated and have continued to improve.
I am glad to learn of the health of yourself and the children as well as Susan and rest of your household. I hope to see you about the 6th of March [Wednesday 6 Mar 1878] if God will and Elder Taylor [John Taylor] and Council consent to my absence from duty here.
I saw Lucy & Louisa yesterday both happy as clams at high water. Rest of folks all well.
I must start to the Council of Apostles [Quorum of 12 Apostles] and say Good bye [goodbye] God bless you and yours.
